One of my chicks is consistently having foul smelling poop. The smell is horrid and noticeable from a considerate distance (up to 2 yards away you can smell it). It is still brown, but is rather wet and runny (but it can still maintain its form, it isn't a puddle yet). The other chick is not having this problem, and no noticeable smells come from their feces. The chicks have been on medicated feed since hatching but recently we've stopped making their feed wet. The chicks are 16 days old and have presented no problems until now. Their brooder is at the appropriate temperature, and I am unsure of what is causing it. The chicks were hatched from eggs and have not had contact with other birds. Any solutions?

Sounds like cecal poop? Cecal poop is wet, sticky, brown, and smells shockingly strong/bad. Totally normal a few times a day (about 1 out of every 8 poops is cecal).

If you're positive it's just one chick and it's every poop something else is going on... Any other symptoms or changes in behavior? Please post some pictures of poop and chick if you are still concerned.

I'm not 100% sure it's just the one chick, and no changes in behavior have presented themselves. The one chick I've noticed with the foul smelling poop is most likely a hen and is a bit more timid, but still very active. If anymore happens, I'll make sure to inform you.

Yep, pretty sure it’s just Cecal poop since they haven’t shown more signs of sickness. Thanks for the help!
