Baby chick

My two day old baby chick is just layin there. Yersterday it wa hopping around and makin lots of noise. I don't know what is wrong with it. Maybe it hasn't learned how to eat?

Did you place it's beak in the water as soon as it arrived?

Is there dried poo on the vent area? If it isn't kept cleaned off, the chick will die.

Try putting some water at the edge of the beak to see if it will take some. If it will, try mixing a little feed with the water and see if you can get it to eat.

Try giving it some yogurt w/active cultures mixed with feed or mashed hard cooked egg yolk.
