I have a baby chick that's about three weeks. She is a pet. Sleeps in our room and follows me around faithfully. So we decided to get more that would go in a coop they are about eight days old. BYC was recommended and I have some chicks with diarrhea and found your site to be extremely helpful. Thank you so much and will definitely be on a lot.

That's nice your single chick has some company now...they do better in a flock usually. Glad to hear BYC has already been helpful to you.

Thanks for joining us!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. My children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) made lap pets of our calmer and more gentle breeds. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Are your chickens eating any treats or foods that aren't chick feed? Sometimes that can cause diarrhea. Make sure they have lots of water. If it gets worse, you should post here and ask for further advice https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures

Good luck and enjoy your little pet chick!
