Hello all
I know you shouldn't feed onions, garlic and other strong smelling/tasting foods to your layers because it puts an off flavor in the eggs. But what about for chicks that haven't started to lay yet? I have 5 week old chicks in an outdoor brooder so they get their grass, grit, fresh air and of course my compost pile. Is it okay to let them have it? I don't quite see the harm (as long as it's in moderation of course) in giving it to them before they start laying.
Thanks everyone!
