Never.
The chick crumble feed is a balanced diet.
Anything you feed other than the chick crumble would be taking away from them getting a balanced diet.
Save the table scraps for when they're old.
I how wouldn’t fresh veggies and fruit not add to their diet?Never.

it's best to wait until they're a little older, then you could introduce chick grit (not adult grit, which could have calcium in) and try safe veggies. I know little about chicks, as I raised ducklings, but hopefully someone knowledgable will reccomend a good age and safe starter foods.Hey y’all,
I was wondering when is an appropriate time to give my baby chicks table scraps?
Thank you, I appreciate your comment.it's best to wait until they're a little older, then you could introduce chick grit (not adult grit, which could have calcium in) and try safe veggies. Just note that whenever you do introduce other foods, do it in moderation, from time to time, its important they don't fill up on snacks, they need all the nutrients in their starter feed right now.
Love your idea about them eating out of your hand as training.I give my pullets things like meal worms long after they've feathered out and are living outside. I guess they are half grown when I do it and I feed them out of my hand to get them friendly. The treats aren't for them, they're for training lol. I don't give them table scraps until after they start laying. No logic to it that's just when I am comfortable doing it
