Baby chicks eye

My baby chicks eye has been like watering and staying shut since it was about a week old, and it would open a lot of the times, but this eye is now like swelling. What do I do!

General care is the flush the eye with saline, remove any pus or debris from the eyes. Put an ointment like Terramcyin eye ointment in the eye at least once daily.

Ophthalmic ointment should be applied 3-4 times daily if possible, if there is no improvement after a week reevaluate. If the eye gets significantly worse quickly get it vet checked.
