Baby Chicks from Mt. Healthy! (with images)

Growing up I was around chickens at my grandparents' house and I loved them...I've always wanted some of my own.

Last year I bought a house and decided that this spring was the time to start a small flock.

Sunday morning I drove to Mt. Healthy Hatchery and picked up 3 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks and 1 Buff Orpington (all pullets hopefully!).


This is the first time I've ever raised chicks and things seem to be going well so far.
