Hi guys! I'm new to chickens and I have 3 of them. I want to know what breed and if they are male or female. The chicks I have are all different breeds, and they are all about 2 - 3 weeks old.
The first one is brown, and has developed feathers on his whole wing. It's starting to grow feathers on it's back now. The brown one is the biggest of the three, and seems to be the leader. It eats the most feed of all the three. It has about 7 small tail feathers and usually is very calm when I pet him.
The second one is yellow, and has a heck lot of feathers. It has grown all its feathers on its wings, and has almost grown all the feathers on it's back. It has A LOT of tail feathers, and it's tail feathers are the biggest of the three. It usually chirps noisily when I hold him.
The third one is tannish and brown. It's whole body and head is tan, but there are chunky brown stripes on it. It has lost the least feathers of the three, and he seems the youngest because it's wings are the smallest. I noticed recently that his comb developed a few bumps on it. It doesn't have ANY tail feathers on it. I'm starting to suspect that he is a male.
Please comment on your opinion. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Feathering doesn't mean much unless it was a trait the breeder bred for, not a in hatchery birds. Where did you get them?
