I have many baby chicks. Some are purebred bantam cochins, some are mixed. Many are crested!

The majority are crosses between my assorted laying flock (Breeds: Leghorn, RIR, Barred Rock, Crevecour, Polish, Std. Cochin, Orpington.) and WC Black Polish Roo or Crevecouer Roo or Bantam Cochin.

PM me if you want some (don't bid!) $2-3.00 each - no shipping - I'm in San Diego area

These are really cute babies, and shoould be great additions to any flock! Here are some pics: (I have more chicks availible than are pictured)

Hi, yes, I am interested in your chicks. Are the sexed? I really can't handle a rooster and am looking for hens only. Is there a way to tell when they are young? I live in Mill Valley, CA. Would the shipping be a problem for them? At what age can they be added to an adult flock of 3? Thanks so much. Carol

None of these babies are sexed - I really couldn't even guess, so there's a chance you would get a rooster. I havn't shipped chicks before and I really would be uncomfortable shipping a small order because I don't have the experience to know how to keep them warm, and they are already a few days old so they would need food or to be overnighted I think, etc. Maybe someone can chime in with advice if they know about shipping small orders of chicks... For now I'm going to say no shipping.

Also, I don't usually add chicks to an adult flock until they are feathered and 1/2 to 2/3rds the size of an adult chicken.
