I have had 10 baby chicks in my bathtub to keep warm.. (and have fun) for about a month now. They are probably 5-6 weeks old.. about 6-7 inches tall. I think it's time to take a bath now.. so am wanting to move them out to the coop BUT.. I have RATS!
And am worried about them stealing my little chicks.
So.. how big do they have to be before the RATS ignore them and don't want to store them for future dinners!????..
Yes... I know... I have to address my terrible infestation.. but I absolutely will not set out poison.. my beloved dog was poisoned and died from a careless person using poison. So.. not sure how to go about getting rid of those little suckers!.. I could trap them for the rest of my life.. cuz I know I've got a whole colony!..
But for right now.. I just want to get those chicks safely into an outside coop.. I was thinking of making a safe home in the garage if you guys think that the rats will still come after them in the coop being as small as they are!.. ?????
