Had no intention of getting chicks this year, but my Cochin Banty went sooo brody, what could I do, she want s to be a momma. Down to the farm store, home with 5 chicks. Momma is new at this, but what a gal, doing a great job. Chicks in garage, weather very cold, 18 at night. All thriving. I spend a great deal of time just watching them. I do not usually raise chicks in February, too cold, but all is fine.
