OK, so I just got home a little bit ago. And I’m outside cleaning up the yard while my daughter is in her pool and I find a dove egg on the ground.
I thought it had blown out from the storm looked over there’s blood and a little bit of yolk on the outside and I’m like oh poor thing didn’t make it. I reached down to pick it up to get it out of the path of my dogs and it’s still very much alive!!!! I don’t know if it was Pipping before it came out out of the nest and landed on the ground or if the fall broke the shell.
I have turkeys, ducks and chickens and have incubated all, but NEVER even thought of a dove but I dont want it to die.
I took it in, set my incubator at 98 and 55% humidity.
I tried to call some wildlife management places, but I got no answer. Is it possible for me to feed this little guy if it does make it?
If there’s any dove people out there PLEASE HELP! I really love birds and want it to live!
