Baby Duck Pipped!

My baby duckling marbles has internally pipped and is very close to externally pipping. Should I be able to hear the duckling peep during this time or would I have to wait until he/she externally pips?

Chicks usually start peeping a couple days before hatching, though it varies with the individual.

I hope it hatches nice and healthy!
