Hi i have a 3 week old call duck it wont stop cheeping, it was with a younger call but it stood on it and heart its leg so we had split them up, due to the older duck keep picking on him. he was alright to start with, but now a week on it will not stop cheeping its driving us nuts. Even our neighbors asked us if it was alright, we just don't no what to do with it. we have now moved into the spare room up stairs but we can still hear it. I think its got used to beaning with us as every time i go in there it stops and Cam's down,Are we doing the right thing moving it into a room by it self, it has got a soft toy with it . not doing much good. When the other call is well again i will put them together again. HELP PLEASE

Try a non breakable mirror, it's lonely and needs someone. so maybe having a mirror will help.

can you put it in a cage where it can see the other bird? where they can speak through the wire? ducks are flock animals, they need companionship. Now as for calls, i have a pair under 2wks they are always going off for us, they are finally settling down as we are increasing activities lol in other words i am wearing them out!

ML, advice on a mirror is good too! a budgie one??

I had one that lost his friend after a week or so and did the same thing..cheaped constantly..i got him a little stuffed rabbit and put it in there..he immediately stopped cheaping and snuggled next to it. he used to drag it around the pen with him..you can always try that..get a little fuzzy something about his size or a little bigger to keep them company.

The visual on that is unreal! so basically my calls need a stuffed toy? I am tempted to send them to school with the kids... stuff cell phones, i brought my duck
