Okay I'm afraid I have an early hatch. I'm hatching a mallard duckling and it's only day 21. I went in at 8:30 tonight to turn it and refill the rings and it felt it pipped underneath the shell. So I assume if it makes it to actually breaking through the shell it will be sometime tomorrow. I placed eight sponges at the bottom of the incubator and have a vaporizer going. Please read my other topic as well:

I think you may be confusing peep (making noice) and pip (cracking the shell)... It is not unusual for chicks to move in the shell before they are ready to hatch. They are not actually "pipping" until they are first cracking the shell...

Keep your temp right, humidity normal for incubating and relax. I would push the humidity way up so early unless it does actually pip he shell.

Most of all... relax.

Okay, thanks guys! -relaxing-
Should I keep turning it until day 26? Or should I stop earlier than that?
