Baby Ducks

I had a Female Rouen that had gone broody and hatched out 8 babies. But sadly only 6 survived.

Awww.. very cute!! May I ask why mama isn't raising them and they are in a brooder? Not criticizing AT ALL, just curious in case I ever get a broody duck

We still have cold temperatures out here and get somewhat snow and all my other chickens peck at em and i dont want them to get squished or get eaten. So I separated them so they won't die from the any of those causes. So there in a nice warm place. And there are other reasons why there not with the momma right now.

okay, that makes sense. I'd be afraid of other birds hurting them as well. They are very cute!
