Baby goat's

[4-H chicken shower]

Hey, we had a baby goat Born Sunday evening (right after the saints won WHODAT). So she's only 3 days old and the temperature is supposed to drop below freezing. We only have the baby and her mama . They are in the barn with plenty of hey, feed and water but I was wondering if I need to do anything else for Them. I'm thinking about getting the baby a little dog sweater.

I don't have goats, but there are a lot of videos online of baby goats in dog pajamas, so it may be a good idea, and is so cute!

Generally after those first flew days baby goats are fine. It will snuggle up close to mom and she will keep it warm. Sweaters and coats are for bottle raised babies. Mom raised will be fine.

Warm bedding and a draft free space for the goats to get out of the weather are adequate for a mama and baby goat. They will be fine.
