Hi again all,

Sorry to keep posting/asking but another question . The first chick i hatched, about three days old now . I haven’t seen him eat at all. The two that hatched this morning already eating . And he seems to like he passes out all the time, I know they are young and tired . But I can pick him up he’ll squirm a little then just fall asleep in my hand, he’ll even run for a second then all sudden beak down and fall asleep.
If I tap my fingers the others got the hint. )3 just runs over to me .. that’s it . He sees other major eating / drinking , he even run through the water before . Nothing . I tried putting a dropper with water right next to his beak. even let his beak touch it , but he ignores it … any advice would be welcome . I don’t even want to try and force feed him, from what I’ve read it can kill him.
Thanks all.

Well.. I’m 90% he finally took a drink ..haven’t seen him eat yet . The others are piggies, eating tons. . But he likes to run , pass out then repeat.. and he runs in circles around the brooder . He’s the only one that does this … and while doing so .. he’ll sleep.. go repeat.. in a circle .

Looks like your hatchlings did fine while you where at work glad to see things went well for you. Any others ready to hatch or are they all done. Hopefully your slow learner gets the hang of it soon.

He kind of got the hang of it . Yeah. Water yes food not sure . I did mention he likes to run and run. Well I have no idea how. He slipped out of the brooder front, and was passed out and cold, for maybe and hour . Holding under the brooder for heat now and is starting to get better , just hoping he didn’t hurt himself. I’m definitely taking that area completely sealed now .
