Baby turkey not eating

I am not sure what type of crumbles you have. I had to chop mine up in a blender at first. They did better after that. I just got poults in May so not a great expert. That did work for me.
Turkey starter tends to have larger crumbles than turkey grower so the poults will find them easier. Poults naturally peck at things on the ground. I use sand in my brooder and sprinkle the crumbles on the sand. My poults usually start eating within ten minutes of being put in the brooder. I have never felt the need to make the crumbles smaller and my poults find them easily and eat them without any problems.

It can take them a day or two to figure out that the stuff in the feeder is also food.

I never worry about a day old poult eating since they can easily go the first two days without eating.
