Bought 2 Bronze Heritage Turkeys 1 month ago. Now there are 2 months old. Supposed to be a male and a female. Suddenly this morning, the male (maybe) started walking around the other one pecking and seems like trying to mounted the other one. After that, they were fighting each other !!! I had to grab one against me to break the fight . Is that normal ? Why are they doing that ??

Well it's pretty safe to say you have a male & a female

Ours male started trying to mount our female at about 4 weeks! That is a mating dance your seeing. It's kind of cool as they get older he will put one wing on the ground and go in circles around the female, and then slap his wings on the ground and make like a rumbling drum noise to get her attention. It's actually quite cool.

So no worries, they aren't going to kill each other.

It's normal, they will do this several times until they work out who's the boss. The first time my Turkeys did this I freaked, I was grabbing one by the neck and pushing the other one off, it was coop smack down Turkey style!. Now I just let them go at it and work it out for themselves. They seldom ever do any bad damage to each other. It just looks rough. I watched my Tom pull the hen's head through the fence once. I did break that fight up. Now they are inseparable and haven't had a lovers quarrel in a few months. Peace once again on the farm.
