For those of you with "bachelor pads" for your roos....tell me how you do it? I am going to SERIOUSLY be working on my Columbian Rocks and Blue Rocks and it will require keeping multiple roos. BUT, I'm not building each one of them their own coop.

I need some suggestions please

Thanks

Scott

Hey Scott,

I've got a small pen and coop set up for chicks. Once I get the chicks in their coop, I plan to move roos into the "chick pen". At least until I find more chicks!!!

Scott,

I don't know if you're talking about putting sibling roo's together or roo's together that you get from multiple sources. I have 50 Heritage RIR chicks brooding at the moment. I know at least half of them are going to be roo's. What I plan on doing is dividing up the girls for the existing coop and hoop house. I will then fix a bachelor pad for all the roo's. They will get along fine, especially if raised together and will establish their own pecking order. I will grow them out until I can tell which ones I want to keep for breeding stock and which ones either get sold or go to freezer camp. Then I guess I get to build some breeding pens. Just keep an eye on them, especially if they are strange to each other. Good Luck!!!
