Um... if you had a fox visit it will come back. They are too smart for their own good. Sorry to tell you that. You are going to have to strengthen and fortify the pen now. They can drop in from above also.

They were free ranging at the time. Their pen is more than adequate. We live in a forest in Canada and I can see in the snow and on the trail cams that predators try and get in the pen but cannot. It's all hardware cloth all the way around and above and 2 feet into the ground plus a 2 foot skirt. The coop is not only solid plywood but sitting on slabs and coated with a layer of hardwire cloth in a coat of epoxy on all sides.
They are lucky ducks. The fox attacked at 11am. They spent a week and a half in their pen before I started letting them free range supervised. The fox has yet to be back at all (I know from tracks and trail cams) but I'm not letting my guard down.
