Hello everyone
frow.gif
,
we had a good look at our CLB's neck and actually it doesn't look has bad has we first thought, it's only the feather's that have been plucked from her neck, there is no other injury thank goodness, she now has this Stockholm Tar on the back of her neck so the other chickens have stayed away from her, i'm not surprised that stuff really does stink. Just have to wait for the new feather's to grow back, they all had a good roam around the garden today in the glorious sunshine we had today. Thank you everyone for your advice, will let you know how she does

Glad there wasn't any broken skin, that could have been bad. Once chickens see blood they won't usually stop until the kill the weak one. Thanks for also telling us more, Didn't even know where you lived from your original post. Sounds like the other chickens were doing some serious pecking on her. Of course a rooster will grab the neck feathers to mount, but if you don't have a rooster, that couldn't be it.
