Backward egg

We boil eggs for breakfast every weekday. One day this week one of my banty eggs was inside out when I peeled it. The yolk was in the outside and the white in the inside. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

My son ate it and said it tasted just like it looked - yolk on the outside and white in the inside.

That is bizarre! First time I've seen that! Maybe the yolk broke during the boiling process?

I don't know. I wish I knew if this was due to something I did or if the egg developed that way.
