Hi all - UK based here

I hatched some of my mum's eggs last year, and I kept my first hatch, a white Sussex x black copper marans cockerel.

I've since acquired some skylines and lavender araucanas and just hatched (yesterday) some of the blue eggs.

All of the chicks are light/white, which is lovely and unexpected, seeing as I thought my cockerels heritage was mainly black copper marans (even though his mum was white Sussex and he's mainly white).

Pic of the main man and the lovely ladies. Haven't got any pics of the skylines atm!

Any clue as to what they might turn out like? I'm hoping any girls í have will throw olive eggs but realise this may not happen.

Thanks all, looking forward to seeing if anyone else has complete crosses!

Mixed chickens. are desirable to many peeps. That is how we ended up with soooo many different chicken breeds. I just keep chickens as pets, and none of mine are to any SOP, (standard of perfection)
I cant help you with the genetics outcome, of your new chicks, but I'm sure they will be lovely.:love
I have a feeling you will get some nice tone colored eggs from them.:thumbsup

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,from across the pond,, and :welcome
