My Brown Leghorn rooster (14.5wks old) discovered he's a boy yesterday and preceeded to find the girls in their run, terrorize them and rip part of their fence down. So, the girls are now grounded (2 of them spent the nght outside because I couldn't find them after he chased them out). I am hopng my husband takes care of the girls and gives them their ice like I told him. Stuck in that shed with 90 degree heat... Ugh. Needless to say, I am making an appointment with the processor yet today. Shame my 'Lorps aren't like him. He'd make a great rooster to the girls (he did protect them when he was younger).
On a positive note, my chicks are being shipped today from Privett and I should hae them Friday morning! Yay! 10 blue Wyandottes, 10 BLR Wyandottes and 5 Delawares! I am so excited!
