Bad duck eggs?

I sell my extra eggs and my customer sent me some pics of what he said were very bad, old ancient eggs. I know they were not, I label and date each egg as it comes in the door. Can anyone explain how fresh eggs can look, and smell bad? I have only had these ducks since March and they are healthy and happy. Here is what he sent me.

One thought is that sometimes ducks can hide eggs in the bedding, and then they unhide them...

A question I have is, how old were these eggs? Does he refrigerate them and if not, where does he keep them? With eggs, I know that sometimes there can be tiny cracks in them, and that would cause them to spoil quickly. I tell anyone I share eggs with about the float test and why it is a good idea. I also don't wash the bloom off the eggs.

Yeah, I don't wash the bloom off either. They were only about 5 days old when I delivered and about 10 days old when he sent the pic. My daughter thinks that they were burying their eggs, and then uncovering them. And we were finding them and they could have been older. Do ducks bury their eggs?

Sometimes my ducks will tuck their eggs into the bedding. Often I find them when I am doing room service, but if I miss a corner - I might miss an egg.

We had a lot of rain. and the ducks were laying their eggs, by their pool. I had to re build their duck house and build it higher. When I I lifted the house, I uncovered a nest in the corner that had 30 eggs. Needless to say, we did the float test and about half of them were bad. so my husband and dad built nest drawers and now the girls can't lay in the corners. they can only lay in the drawers and we are finding all the eggs, and labeling them as we bring in the door. But I have been testing them and I am still finding a few that will sink, but when cracked open, they are smelly and some even have black on the inside. They are only a week old. I am so baffled. I guess we will just keep trying to figure this out. Until then, I am not selling any duck eggs.
