We have a runt, we love. When she was about a week old, she couldnt walk. We separated her and within 5 days she was walking. However, she was much smaller than the rest, so we kept her separated.
She continues to be 2/3 the size of the others. They all moved into the coop. She stayed pretty much isolated, but otherwise OK. Well, 2 days ago she dropped down and cannot walk again. Again we are isolating her. She is improving.
The question is these are identical incidents with the same chick. There must be something wrong with her leg foot. She does curl her toes on that foot when we pick her up, but doesnt mind having them touched. No Docs see chicks in this rural area, but there must be something we can do.
