Temp got to 100 today
!! Hello all and thank you for providing such a great resource for all of us interested in chickens. I had a couple when I was a kid but that was a Loooonnnng time ago
. Just recently got back into it on a little bit grander scale. I got a great deal on a 12X20 wooden storage shed on Craig's List and converted a portion of it to a coop....Then I got hubby busy building the outside run for them. Purchased Black Copper Marans and Cuckoo Marans from a local breeder. They are about 8-10 weeks old and also received an order of Gold Laced Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte and also some Brown Leghorn chicks from one of the hatcheries. Those are now nearly two weeks old. It has already been an adventure!! Everyone has settled in well and now that all of the construction is done, there's more time to enjoy them. I am glad to have found this forum and I look forward to learning all I need to know to be successful with my flock.
