Hello! I have two female Cayuga ducks. A few days ago I noticed a bald spot appearing near one of their necks. Could this be from the dominant female trying to mate? Other ideas?

Does it look like there was ever a wound there? Do you have any other birds that could pick on her? Sometimes my female ducks will get in a little scuffle and yank each other around but usually never leave bald spots. Did you check her for parasites? Part the feathers in some areas and look for mites.

No wound whatsoever. Just a bald spot. No other birds, just the two ducks. I’ve looked for mites but have not seen anything.
