Hello all. Newbie here both to the thread and chickens, had my flock little less than a year.
mom in Northwest PA so we are in the cold right now.
I have 2 Peking Duck (1 male, 1 female) and 2 cinnamon queens and 4 that my father in law bought, they look pretty identical to my cinnamon queens but not sure exact breed. One of his 4 is a rooster. They all live together, have since they were chicks.

This morning I noticed a small bald spot on one of the girls. It was on her mid back, round no blood. She is the only one that has this. I don’t notice others singling her out or pecking her. Could it just be she is the roosters favorite?

I’ve never dealt with lice or mites, I thought it could be that but wouldn’t the others be showing signs?

When the weather is nice they free range but this winter they have just been kept inside the coop and covered run.

thanks for any help and suggestions!

Sounds like you may have a picking problem. Picking is where other hen(s) will pull out another's feathers.

It might be the rooster. It also could be over crowding in the coop.
