I just noticed that my 9 week old EE has a bald spot at the base of her tail (kinda the back third of her back. It has like a peck mark there too.
Does this mean she is getting picked on?
Why now? She is one of 8 that I raised from chicks and they all went out in their new 8x10 shed coop on Sunday. So much roomier and nicer then their dog cage/wardrobe box brooder in the house. And they all seemed so happy out there. One turned out to be a roo but he isn't acting like one yet - no crowing or mounting that I have seen. I rigged up a covered expen so they could go in and out while I'm home and they were out all day today. I didn't hear any fussing.
I'll keep an eye on it and put some antibiotic ointment on it. She isn't acting sad or anything. I just don't understand why now and if I need to do something?
Thanks - I've tried to do everything right. Obviously I've missed something.

I suspect sometimes a pecker just happens, sort of a personality disorder! But this will give you a bump for others' thoughts, anyway.

Thanks for the reply.
I am hoping that the stress of the move to new quarters (even though they are nice quarters) may have caused this and things will now settle down.
