Baldyhen, aptly named for being bald, passed away peacefully this afternoon at 1:45pm on the front walkway. She had sat down on the porch 10 minutes earlier and mum prodded her to see if she was alright because she looked listless and she just flopped over on her side. She then proceded to have a fairly bad seizure. I covered her in a towel as we knew this was it. She was going to die. And at one point she got up and made her way down to the walkway about 4 feet away. She then had another horrible (worse than the first) seizure and passed peacefully with the ducks looming over her.
We didn't do an autopsy, but reckon she had a brain tumour. I never put symptoms together, but all her symptoms pointed to possible brain cancer. Loss of condition, listlessness, and now the seizures.
She was buried on the edge of our forest at 2:00pm. She would have been 2 years old on July 14th 2010
