Banana peels?

In the list for what can be fed to chickens, I notice that bananas are "peeled". Is there something about peels that are toxic?

Oh Oh, my girls have been eating and love banana peels. I havent seen a problem with them....

In fact, we don't feed them the bananas (unless they're too soft for humans to eat 'em). We eat the bananas and throw the chickens the peels!
