Bands for mallards?

My mallards should be flying away any day now, but I might have time to stick bands on them (if I can catch them). Any safe & permanent bands available?

The only bands that are both safe and permanent are wing bands.
Numbered bandettes are safe but frequently lost.
I haven't used them, but a numbered metal band may be another choice.

I'm sure National Band probably has what you need.
