Hi,
I didn't know what to call this thread. But I have a banny family, mom, dad, and a baby hen and roo. The banny roo is really starting to fill out so not sure of his age, but the mom is starting to run him off, keep him from eating etc. She hatched the roo and hen so why is she acting like this? Daddy roo could care less if Jr. is around and they all leave the little girl alone. Any suggestions?

It sounds like she's weaning him. My broody hens did that with their chicks and sometimes they'd actually bite them real hard. I think you must let them sort themselves out, let the little ones find their place in the pecking order and just make sure he gets enough to eat. If she won't allow him, feed him separately or add another feeder, away from the one you are using now (assuming you are using one.

Hi,
Thanks for the information, yes he gets his treats and food separate, in his own feeders.
