Bantam Cochin and standards

I have a mix of 25 hens, 5 are 8 months, 20 are 5 months. I have 1 cockerel that is also 8 months and aggressive, I'm attacked daily. I need to cull him as bad as I hate to because I fear he will attack someone other than me. I have a chance to get a Cochin Bantam cockerel to add to the flock when he is gone. Is this asking for more problems, can the new cockerel and hens be peaceful together if integration is slow.

Odds are it should be okay, especially if its after the other male is gone, but he also may harass the girls since he doesn't have anyone to really keep him in his place
