Bantam Cochin pips but dies! Why??

I had an egg pip this afternoon, but then no action. The chick died. Does anyone have any idea why?

whats the moisture/humidity level and heat in your bator?

99-100 on two different therometers. One on top of the eggs, one upright. Humidity 65-70.

it could be alot of reasons then, there is no real way to find out but you could try disecting the egg to see if you can see anything but that is up to you

Tried that also and everything looked perfect.
