We got 2 Bantam Cocoo Marans at age 14 ( or so was said at the time)

they were supposed to be 2 girls?

I l;ater called the breeder up and spoke to someone else who said they were younger around 10 weeks.

I have no clue Ive had them for almost 4 weeks now and they are still chriping.
They look the same one is lighter and the other darker one is slightoly bigger.

The darker one has some lovely green colours on the wings and the back tail , the lighter one has a little bit of feathering between her( hope!) toes.

Could anyone please advice on if they are roos or hens?

They playfight alot and barg eachother from one end of the garden to the other, the lighter one pecks the darker one on the head and boxes with the feet .
they are both as agressive or as playful as the other.

seems they only playfight when they are outside not in the coop[ or run.

I have five eight week old CC Marans chicks that I thought were four dark hens and a lighter colored rooster. Two of the hens and the rooster have larger combs and wattles. Well, this morning the darkest hen CROWED...

I guess now I am back at square one...

That said I would think they are both roosters...or should i say roasters.

16 out of 19..not bad for a straight run, huh?

...and I think three CC Marans that really are hens..now my fingers are crossed.

They are odd so different and both boys ?? hope not hope not!

Ive never seen the green colouring on the feathers on the cc marans ...

Only Marmite has it though ... and she keeps laying down everywhere .. plump little thing..

please please please make her a cross dresser!!! lol and have her lay eggs
