I recently got two breeding pairs of bantams: buff and jet black with green in feathers both have red combs. On egg duty I found one small white egg the size of a half dollar. I was told bantams only lay Brown eggs, but nobody told these guys.
Does anyone know what kind of birds these are since the egg is white not Brown? My guess was buff and Cochin. Thank you!

There are many different breeds of bantam. Bantam just means they are smaller than regular breeds. The egg color is determined by breed and color of the hen sometimes. I would post pictures in the breed and gender forum to help you determine what you have.

Thanks! I will post over there :)
