Bantam getting picked on by standard

My bantam chochin was getting picked on by one of my standards... I feel like it was mostly normal chicken pecking order stuff, except, the australorp is just soo much bigger, and the Cochin is total bottom of the order. Anyway, she knicked her head up, so I put the Cochin in her own hospital coop, since the australorp kept going after her, and also. so no one else would pick at it further, but I feel like she’s stressed being lonely. If it’s no longer a red wound, but now skin colored and bald, should I put her back in with the others, put one of her bantam buds in with her, banish the australorp for a few days to the hospital coop, or should I worry that she will never reintegrate? Any advice for next steps would be appreciated. I just wanted to make sure she didn’t get any more injured.

She likely will get picked on again by the Australorp once you return her. That will almost assuredly be an ongoing issue. When standards don't like bantams, they simply don't like them and usually make their life miserable.

You can re-home the Australorp. Chances are she is snotty to the other ladies as well. Or, since she is likely a productive hen,

You can create a separate hutch for your bantam and get a bantam friend in with her. I ended up doing that with my Silkies as they were constantly hazed by the large flock. They were very happy in their own little hutch...which turned into a nice broody and grow out hutch since my Silkies were constantly brooding too.

Or re-home this particularly docile bantam Cochin. She'd make a lovely pet for a child.

But I don't think simply putting her back into the flock is ever going to just smooth over things.

My thoughts.

I pretty much have the same problem with my one year old bantam hen, Lily. No matter what, all of the other chickens (even 2 cochins) beat up on her all the time. Plus all of the others also beat up on the cochins. I want to put Lily in a new smaller coop with 3 eight week old silkies here in a week or so. I'm just not sure how to assimilate the new chicks and the bantam hen. Suggestions?
