I got her today in a trade. The guy says "full bantam" but that's not very specific. 2 years old
I got another one that he said is a serama mix. It looks like a black rose comb(?) The one in question looks gray in the shade but brown in the sun.
Also within 2 hours of getting here one laid an egg! Former owner says the black one was bred to a fizzle serama but I don't know if the other was. I don't know who laid the egg.
So the questions are- what breed is this gray/brown one and if one or both are fertile, how long will they be able to lay fertilized eggs? If I let them brood how long will it be before any chicks are born? This is my first experience with bantams and my first egg! My other chicks arec large breeds are too young to lay or breed yet.

Thanks so much for responding! I'll look all those up for sure. Now I have pics of the other girl, 10 months that was bred to a fizzle bantam. I don't have pics of that male yet. But the guys going to send some soon.
He said this is a serama mix

He sent a video of the rooster the black girl was bred to. But said he's actually a frazzle. I know little about them except they have a lot of health problems and many don't live long. On that note, maybe I won't keep any eggs. He also said the frazzle roo is a butthole and can't get along with anyone. I don't want to perpetuate that problem. It's better because I didn't want chicks until Spring anyway.

Both are cross bred. They may very well stop laying once they have laid the eggs that are 'in process'. Eggs retain high fertility for 2 weeks, moderate fertility for 3 weeks, and some fertility up to 4 weeks after a rooster has been removed. First they would have to go broody/set, and then it would take 21 days for the eggs to hatch.

Thank you! Now, I think the brown one laid the egg but not positive. I believe they were both bred though. All his bantams were kept together. So...
Now the question is if one of these hens was bred by a frazzle roo, what kind of babies would I theoretically get?
50 % frazzle or 50% frizzle or 25% bantam leghorn? This is confusing.
I'm just wondering if there is a way to know if the babies will be worth hatching or are they going to be mutants that will die? I don't want frazzles but frizzles might be cool
