Bantam Nesting Boxes(Quick Answer?)

How much room do bantams need in a nesting box? Is a 8"x8" big enough? I'd like to put in 3 boxes if possible, due to the Cochins and Silkies go broody. I suppose it's okay if I only have 2 boxes, since they can share, but

I'd prefer a quick answer, because we are building a two days(we're about halfway done) and we might start building the nesting boxes.

It seems I read on here that 12"x12" was a good size for a bantam nest box. I hope that someone with more experience will chime in.

I use the small cat liter pans from Walmart for my banties. They fit well, and are easy to clean.
