Does such a thing exist? I have a friend who told that she is looking for them, but can't find them anywhere and can't understand why because the breeds that they have crossed to make the full sized red sex link are available in bantam... so why are there no red stars in bantam?

Presumably because sexlinks' whole point is to be a production breed. Er, cross. Er, thingamajig. Production, anyhow.

I've never met anyone trying to maximize yearly production (while minimizing costs of) of bantam-size eggs

No reason a person can't do it themselves, of course, although I dunno wehther the product would be *as* good and economical a layer, simply because the parent strains have not generally been selected for production qualities.

If you do ever get started I have two friends who are looking for hens...

The reason being that they like the redstars but want to stay small. They have each had them full size, but due to life they would rather have banties b/c of the rest of the flock.
