Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

IN December-April, my bantam rooster had mites.(untill I found a cure.) Since December he has not been balancing very well, my bantam hen had mites too but not as long as my rooster and she is just fine. I dont know if the mites made him low on blood or he needs vitamin c. Please tell me why he is doing this.
