Bantam roosts..what size???

Hi, my dad and I are building roosts for some bantams we have (currently 6 weeks old). What size do we need to be the most healthy for their feet? Do we use the 2x4 that many say they use for full size chickens?? Thank you for all the help!

They will be fine with those. I use tree branches or saplings, anywhere from 2" to 4" diameter, bark on, as that's more natural IMO. Use what you have, as long as it's wood. Mary

Thanks for the reply. I just didn't want to use anything that would hurt their feet
