Hi!

So I’m new to all of this- BYC and raising chickens. Bear with me!

I know determining the sex is difficult at best, even more so with silkies. But I’m hoping to see if anyone with much more experience than myself has any input.

We were told our chickens are bantam silkies, approx 6-8 weeks old when we got them early Oct 2017. Now they’re approx 4-5 months old.

We’re hoping to get eggs (although- they are silkies ) so we’d like laying hens of course. We do plan to add other breed(s) this spring most likely.

Anyhow here’s my guesses for the sexes:

1. Rooster
2. Hen
3. Rooster
4. Rooster
5. Hen
6. Rooster

My predictions are based on general size, comb/waddle and the way feathers seem to lay on the crown.

Any thoughts? Thanks!
