Bantam water/feeder

I have 6 bantams would a 1 gallon water container be fine and a 5 gallon food container? I'm looking into the rent-a-coop feeder/waterer if anyone uses that. I've been seeing a lot about not putting food and water in the coop so if that's true I'd like to change it up and wonder if thise would be good. Thanks!

I use these and I have food in the coop so it doesn't get wet and water outside. I think the main worry for having food in the coop is mice. I keep a bait station in a corner of the coop to deal with that problem.

I also hang them a few inches off the ground so they don't kick shavings in them.
