I apologize in advance if I am posting this in the wrong place. I have a bunch of standard sized hens, 2 silkie bantams, and 6 d'uccle bantams. I am new to raising chickens, and figured our coop and run could house them all. Well someone told me I cannot have the bantams with the standard hens? I don't have another place to keep my bantams, so I am trying not to stress out. Does anyone keep all of theirs together successfully?

I have had my standard and my bantums together for a year. No one is picking on the banties any more than they do the standard. I would say that I have no problems with them being together than not. I even have a black Andalusian and a cochin bantum that are buddies and they go every where together! I hope this helps you!

I currently have only bantams at the moment but for years I had standards and bantams together. They got along just fine. (They were the standard RIR and Cochin bantams). Just like with anything else, if they have enough room, should be ok.

I too have a mixed flock of bantums and standards. The banties are mainly polish and one D'uccle. The standards are hatchery egg layers and one polish. No crest picking, or any problems other than regular pecking order skirmishes.

I have both and my bantams do not let anyone pick on them. As long as there is enough room for all of them then everything should be fine there will be some pecking order issues but those only last a short time.

This Q needs to stop being posted. I've seen it over 10 times in the last two weeks!
All but the smallest and largest, smallest and meanest you need to watch out for. Other wise don't worry.

This Q needs to be in a sticky somewhere......
