I have a mixed flock of 6 standards and a Golden Sebright, D’uccle, and 2 Silkies. My original Silkie has never laid an egg in her life (and she’s definitely a hen), but my other 3 are laying daily! My barred rock, EE, and light Brahma lay 4-5 times a week, and only my sex-links and BO lay close to daily. I was expecting the reverse! I have noticed that the membranes on the bantam eggs (especially Silkie) are tough to break when using. I worry a little that the layer feed has too much calcium for my little girls, but the rest of the flock needs it. I also offer their own broken down shells and oyster shell as wanted.
attaching a pic of the egg types and my bounty!
